PERFORMANCE COACHING
Arisa Kusumi Sullivan has 20 years of experience working with business professionals and performers on stage presence skills and performance anxiety. She spent many years crafting her own methods for alleviating performance anxiety in order to successfully continue her career while also battling bodily issues that went undiagnosed for twenty years before doctors discovered that she had a neurological disorder called laryngeal dystonia. In pursuing a solution for her own issues and to help others, she created a unique approach that combines evidence-based psychological tools with effective mind-body practices. She crafted this method, called STAGE ZEN, from her experiences training with Dr. David Juncos in Acceptance and Commitment Training for Musicians (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), studying Reiki, MBSR (Duke Center for Integrative Medicine), Energy Medicine (UNC-C,) and by conducting research studies on performance anxiety in pursuit of a M.A. in Vocal Pedagogy from the Voice Study Centre/ University of Wales, Trinity Saint-David. While she continues to perform as a TV actor and model, her main focus now is on coaching performers and professionals alike who struggle to present themselves at their best due to this debilitating condition. In addition to her 30 years of experience as a performer, Arisa has worked with Fortune 500 executives and leaders as a global leadership and cross-cultural consultant, accent coach, public speaking coach, and manager.
